Interim Assignment: Portfolio Leasing Firm
Background: The Assignment was a Private Equity Fund acquired leasing firm that needed to be transformed and scaled into a Rateable Scalable Leasing Platform. We were brought in as Finance Consultants to transform the Procurement, Financial Operations Process initially for a 12 week project. During this time due to the Controller suddenly departing before year end, Our Lead Adviser took over as Interim Controller completing the audit, tax filing and other necessary statutory requirements..
Action: Due to client needs we stayed as Controller for an additional period to almost 18 months. We implemented a best in class tax compliance system, Treasury and Accounts Payable were automated and a new ERP system and Leasing System were implemented for a complete Finance transformation.
Result: Due to business improvements the firm had additional investments made and was able to scale many fold in deal flow, financing capability and enhance its Lease offering and products dramatically. We also helped hire, train and bring on board a new Controller and bring on board an experienced Financial Planning & Analysis Leader. Audit, Tax time cycle time were reduced 50% to industry standard period.

Rapidly Growing Software As A Service (SaaS) Firm
Background: A rapidly growing Software As A Service (SaaS) firm to the automotive industry was given an acquisition offer. The Saas founder CEO engaged us to evaluate their options. We provided support for the SaaS firm over a period of 13 months from research, negotiation and market intelligence on the potential acquirer.
Action: Our operations and financial analysis helped the founder CEO negotiate for better terms and also understand company's profitability and cost drivers. The client also realized that the firm was being undervalued and could command higher pricing even as costs could be lowered by operational changes.
Result: Our SaaS client declined the acquisition offer but has grown both in revenue and profitability increasing the value for the Founder CEO and existing shareholders. They continue to be approached by Venture Capital and other potential acquirers as their business value continues to increase.
